In this talk I will show that sets of electrical pulses applied through metal electrodes to manganite based memristors ( memory + resistor devices), emulate the biological synapse between neurons. This fact prompts for the bio - inspired use of these devices in simple circuits to produce learning processes. Some of our past work on manganites [1] and TiO [2] based memristors will be discussed, including the delivery of samples to Low Earth Orbits to test them as non - volatile memory devices.
