Giuliana now Fellow of IOP

Congratulations to Dr Giuliana Di Martino on being awarded a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (IOP). She has now the opportunity to take on a leading role and will continue to act as an ambassador, supporting the IOP to promote the value of physics to society and to inspire others to study, work and excel in physics.

Congratulations to Dr Kalyan Ghosh for his GCDEM Young Scientist Award

Dr Kalyan Ghosh (who is a Royal Society Newton Fellow in Sohini’s group), was recently awarded GCDEM Young Scientist Award. Thomas Cromwell’s Book of Hours in Trinity College Library

A jewelled Book of Hours in Trinity College Library is now believed to have belonged to Thomas Cromwell, Chief Minister to King Henry VIII. The same book appears in Hans Holbein the Younger’s 1532-3 portrait of Cromwell in the Frick Collection in New York. Please read more here .
